Taylor at Camp and Art...

I am a bad uncle. Taylor had written this entry a while ago and with all the crap that has been happening (see below) I never got it on. Taylor is one very talented kid (she really is not a kid anymore, but hey). As you will see below, she is an artist and a damn good one at that. My family was out here in April and I remember Taylor working on this DVD cover when they were here. She finished it and when I got it, it took my breath away. This from a 16 year old (almost). Judge for yourself. Here is her entry about camp and the DVD cover.

Hi, sorry I haven't had anything posted in a awhile...

Well, I got back from camp about a week ago (Camp Midicha for kids with diabetes). This was my last year to go as a camper, but next year I can be a C.I.T., or a counselor-in-training. This Wednesday, I'm going to be leaving (again) to go to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp for the second year for art. I'll be gone for 12 days. Hopefully I get to make some cool art projects to show you all.

Speaking of which, I made a Rent poster (well, actually the DVD cover, to be exact), but I changed the characters to the ones from Fullmetal Alchemist. If you try looking it up but can't find the characters being Maureen and Joanne, don't worry, those two are my own character, Kita (the one with the teal bangs), and my best friend's character, Jenika.

I guess that's all the updating for now...

Blood Sugar Level...

Hi, again! I decided to write another post, so yeah....

Hi, peeps! ;D Happy Easter!

Well, for the past few days, my blood sugar's been very... odd.......

In the mornings, it'll be low, like in the 50s or 60s, then it'd shoot up to the 200s or 300s by lunch, and THEN it would drop back to normal by dinner. So, I was like, "Well, now... What the heck is up with this?" So my mom called the doctor and we had to monitor my blood sugars for three days (including midnight and 4 a.m. checks... D8 *le gasp*). We still don't know why it's doing what it is..... Odd, huh?

So.... Yeah. I found out that it takes about three hours just to go through and listen to all 43 songs (yes, I counted) on the Rent soundtrack. Since there aren't many speaking parts in the play and it's mainly singing, it's like the entire play on a CD. So I thought that was shweet. X3

Anyway, I decided to post a picture of mine that I did while waiting for the plane to take my family and I to Alabama to go on a cruise to Mexico. _w00t_

Taylor's Hello...

Well, hello thar! 8B

'Tis the niece of the blogger. Yeah, he asked me to be a part of the blog and to write about my life with diabetes and, well, random stuff in my life. Like the fact that I should be working on my art project (which is taking way too long for an impatient person like me XD) I might also put up some of my art that I actually like. I'm still kinda surprised that I was able to get off my lazy butt and write this as soon as I did. *laughs*

Well, then... on to business. *puts on cool MIB shades*
My day today's been quite interesting. It went just fine until me and my best friend stayed after school to work on stuffs and we missed the first shuttle bus (since the bus driver just had to be early and not wait for anyone DX ) to one out of three of the elementary schools. So, since she didn't have a ride, we decided to walk to the school to try and beat the buses, which, of course with our luck, happened to be leaving just as we got there. What are the odds of that? I mean, seriously?

Yeah... Well, I saw Horton Hears A Who on Saturday. It was AWESOME!!! \m/ Especially that little yellow hedgehog creature, Katie. "In my world, they're all ponies. And they eat rainbows and poop butterflies!" XD Classic.

For SSA choir, we went to a choral festival (which was so much fun, by the way) and me and Jazz kept telling people that we were half sisters. People actually believed us. XD THEN, she said I was an accident and the spawn of the milkman! D: That made me sad...

Wow... this entry is reeeeaaaallllyyyy long. |D Well, I like it 'cuz... well... I rock like that, m'kay?

Taylor...

One of the things I wanted to bring to this Blog is a perspective from others. An insight that I can only empathize with, not really understand because it is not happening to me. For this, I have asked my niece to write some post about her life and her issues. This, I think, will be good for me because I will one day need o understand how my little girl is thinking, feeling, and most importantly how to talk with her.

Taylor is an amazing young women. She is very creative and shows it in a variety of forms. She plays the guitar, sings, draws amazing anime, and much more. Although she was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes when she was 4 years old, this disease was never the definition of Taylor. She didn't let it stop her or her ideas. So when I asked her to write here, it was in part to get an insight on a young persons acceptance of this, but not just that. I think she has a lot to say - I hope. I think she can help me (as a father of a daughter) get an idea of what hell my little girl will put me through.

With that said I will say no more. I will let Taylor do the talking.
